Job description
At Liaison, we’ve helped higher education institutions build better, more diverse classes for three decades. You may recognize us as the company behind the Centralized Application Service (CAS), Enrollment Marketing services and platform (EMP), SlideRoom, Time2Track, TargetX (CRM) and Othot.
Everything we do is focused on taking that proven success and expanding its scope and scale. Over 31,000 programs on more than 1,000 campuses see us as a forward-thinking partner integral to meeting their total enrollment goals — and we’re building the data- and mission-driven team that will reinforce our role for decades to come.
The Marketing Analyst supports the Enrollment Marketing team with data collection, organizational research, data preparation, quality assurance, and reporting. This role works with marketing performance data and organizational information from internal systems, digital platforms, spreadsheets, and approved external sources.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with data. This position is well-suited for someone early in their analytics career who is interested in developing experience in marketing reporting, data visualization, research, and data-quality processes while contributing to the team’s day-to-day reporting operations.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, organize, and prepare data from marketing platforms, internal systems, spreadsheets, and other approved sources.
• Clean and standardize data by identifying duplicate records, missing information, formatting inconsistencies, and other data-quality issues.
• Prepare and deliver assigned recurring marketing reports and support ad hoc reporting requests using established processes and business requirements.
• Maintain and update reporting workbooks, dashboards, research files and supporting documentation.
• Perform quality-assurance checks to validate data accuracy, report calculations, date ranges, filters, and consistency across sources.
• Review marketing and organizational data to identify trends, changes, gaps, and items requiring further investigation.
• Investigate data discrepancies, document findings, and collaborate with the appropriate team members to resolve issues.
• Prepare clear tables, visualizations, and written summaries to communicate reporting results.
• Contribute to improvements in recurring data-collection, reporting, quality-assurance, and documentation processes.
Position Requirements:
• 1–2 years of relevant professional, academic, or project experience in data analytics, marketing analytics, reporting or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, analytics, marketing, business, information systems, communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including organizing data, formulas, look-up functions, pivot tables, and data formatting.
• Ability to conduct accurate research and collect structured information from multiple sources.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
• Basic understanding of marketing concepts and performance metrics.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to follow processes, work independently on assigned responsibilities, and collaborate effectively with others.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter, has excellent communication and time-management skills, demonstrates critical thinking and growth mindset.
• Availability during Eastern US business hours.
Preferred (but not required):
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Power Query or similar reporting and data-preparation tools.
• Experience supporting recurring reports, dashboards, research projects, or client-facing deliverables.
• Experience in higher education, enrollment marketing, agency services, or another client-service environment.
