Position Summary The Barista crafts exceptional espresso and coffee beverages using premium recipes and high-end equipment while delivering warm, personalized service in a luxury hotel breakfast environment. In addition to preparing specialty coffee beverages, this role is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast cocktails, including Mimosas and Bloody Mary's, in accordance with responsible alcohol service standards and applicable liquor laws. The Barista ensures each guest receives an elevated café and breakfast experience by maintaining a clean, organized workspace, supporting efficient breakfast operations, and collaborating closely with team members to uphold exceptional hospitality. Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities •    Prepare and serve specialty espresso and coffee beverages according to established recipes and quality standards •    Prepare and serve breakfast cocktails, including Mimosas and Bloody Mary's, in accordance with established recipes, responsible alcohol service practices, and applicable liquor laws •    Verify guest age and identification when required and comply with all alcohol service regulations and company policies •    Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of espresso equipment, bar tools, and beverage service areas •    Is responsible for station set-up, side work, and station breakdown •    Clean and restock station throughout shift •    Monitor inventory of coffee, beverage, and bar supplies and communicate replenishment needs to management •    Maintain positive communication with service and kitchen staff •    Make Manager aware of guests' comments and complaints •    Comply with all policies and procedures for Aspen Hospitality and Aspen One •    Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager •    Other duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements •    High School Diploma or equivalent required •    Must be over 18 years of age •    Previous Barista or preparing & serving alcoholic beverages experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities •    Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee beverages, and basic beverage presentation •    Knowledge of wine, beer, and breakfast cocktails, including Mimosas and Bloody Mary's •    Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and applicable liquor laws •    Ability to obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certification in accordance with state and local regulations •    Strong written and verbal communication skills •    Understanding of how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively •    Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively •    Ability to do basic problem-solving •    Strong attention to detail •    Ability to work under stressful circumstances •    Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks •    Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner Work Environment & Physical Demands •    Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time •     Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces •     Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance Job Benefits This position is classified as a regular full-time position eligible for the following benefits: Enrollment dates differ across the various programs. •    Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Programs •    Flexible Spending Account Programs •    Life Insurance Programs •    Paid Time Off Programs •    Paid Leave Programs •    401(k) Savings Plan •    Employee Ski Pass •    Other company perks or This position is classified as a regular part-time position eligible for the following benefits: Enrollment dates differ across the various programs. •    Paid Time Off Programs •    Other company perks The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
