Position Summary
The Breakfast Food Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner while providing warm, personalized service in a luxury hotel breakfast environment. This role supports the front-of-house team by ensuring breakfast orders are presented to the highest quality standards, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience. The Breakfast Food Runner collaborates closely with servers, kitchen staff, and leadership to ensure efficient breakfast operations. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
• Deliver breakfast food and beverages from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately
• Ensure all orders are complete, properly presented, and delivered at the appropriate temperature
• Assist servers by providing beverage refills, condiments, accompaniments, and fulfilling guest requests
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure order accuracy and efficient service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food runner stations, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift
• Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain an inviting and efficient breakfast dining environment
• Monitor dining room needs and proactively support the service team to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards while handling food and beverages
• Assist with stocking service stations, replenishing supplies, and completing side work as assigned
• Maintain positive communication with service and kitchen staff
• Make Manager aware of guests' comments and complaints
• Comply with all policies and procedures for Aspen Hospitality and Aspen One
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager
• Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Previous food runner, busser, server assistant, or restaurant experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of food service practices and guest service standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Ability to do basic problem-solving
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under stressful circumstances
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
• Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
• Ability to safely carry multiple plates and trays and remain on your feet for extended periods
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
